The Danube Bike Trail can be divided into five different sections, from the Black Forest, the source of the Danube all the way to the estuary of the Danube, the Black Sea. The five sections add up to about 3230km.
The cycle route is mostly flat, well signposted, through hills and valleys, passing through small mediaeval villages, offering a cultural overview of the major cities and metropolises.

#2 From Passau to Vienna
Distance: 320km / 200miles
The second section of the Danube Cycle Path runs from Passau to Vienna. It is one of the most popular cycling routes as it offers an easy and fascinating cycling holiday for everyone.
#3 From Vienna to Budapest
Distance: 340km / 220miles
On the third section, the Danube Bike Trail unites three countries and three cultures, riding through Austria, Slovakia and Hungary.
